1. Nook

6. Nook

Privacy Policy

Nook has no advertising, does not track you across apps, and does not sell information about your things. Photos and text recognition stay within your device and private iCloud boundary.

Effective: July 16, 2026

1. Data Nook processes

Nook processes content you choose to save, such as container and item names, full photos, notes, aliases, recognized photo text, location relationships, reminders, lending status, activity checklists, and return-tracking status. This information is used only to record, search for, remind you about, and help return your things to their original places. Text-only checklist entries remain within that checklist and do not automatically become library items.

2. Where data is stored

Data is stored on your device first. If you enable iCloud sync, Nook uses the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple ID to sync iPhone and iPad; the developer cannot browse your private CloudKit records. The full Watch app can receive the necessary non-private data from its paired iPhone. You can export your own backup from the app at any time.

3. Photos, camera, and on-device recognition

Photos are always optional. Nook requests camera or photo-library access only when you choose to take or select a photo. The app compresses and saves a full photo card and recognizes text on device. It does not automatically remove backgrounds or guess multiple subjects from one photo. Nook does not upload photos to a developer server, advertising platform, or cloud AI for recognition, training, or analytics. If iCloud is enabled, photos may sync with your other data through your private CloudKit database.

4. Private items and Apple system features

Items marked private are excluded from Siri and Shortcuts answers, Spotlight, widgets, Watch answers, and unauthenticated external previews. Notifications related to private items use neutral wording such as “a private item,” do not show the item name, and include no photo. Authentication on the device is required before private details can be viewed in the app. You can disable notifications in system settings.

5. Free use and one-time purchase

Nook is free to download, and the first 30 library items are fully usable. Only a save that would take the library above 30 items offers a non-consumable one-time purchase. There is no subscription, advertising, or trial countdown. iCloud, search, returns, reminders, corrections, box snapshots, backup and restore, and the basic add/search widgets do not require the Full Version. The purchase unlocks unlimited items, the full Apple Watch app, and three advanced widgets.

Apple processes payment through the App Store and StoreKit. The developer does not receive your card details or full payment information; Nook reads only the entitlement status provided by Apple. A refund or revocation does not delete, hide, or lock data you have already saved.

6. What Nook does not do

Nook contains no third-party advertising SDK, creates no cross-app advertising profile, does not sell personal information, and does not send your content to data brokers. In-app usage counts support local features and troubleshooting and are not automatically sent to the developer.

7. When you contact support

The developer receives information only when you choose to send an email. Nook may prefill the app version, system version, and item and container counts, but not item names, photos, locations, or notes. You can remove any prefilled information before sending.

8. Your choices and deletion

You can edit, export, or delete content in Nook and turn off iCloud sync. An exported ZIP is an unencrypted static copy, so store it safely. Deleting the app alone does not actively delete private iCloud records. Removing local data and deleting private iCloud data are separate, clearly explained actions. You can revoke camera, photo, or notification access in system settings.

9. Contact and policy updates

For privacy questions, email 1206666847@qq.com. If Nook materially changes how it handles data, this page will show a new effective date and, when appropriate, the change will be disclosed in the app or release notes.

10. Visiting this website

This website adds no analytics code, advertising, cookies, or contact form. To deliver the pages, hosting and network providers may process your IP address and basic request logs. Those network records do not contain the inventory information stored in the Nook app.
