No. Nook saves a full rounded photo card, does not remove its background, and does not guess multiple items from one photo. Text recognition runs on device, and photos are not sent to a developer server or cloud AI for recognition. If no text is recognized, the photo remains saved and you can add keywords manually.

Only real items in the library count. Text-only temporary checklist entries are unlimited and do not create items. Container covers, box-content snapshots, and their on-device text recognition also do not count. If you delete items and return within the limit, you can add again.

iCloud sync remains free. Make sure both devices use the same Apple ID, Nook is allowed to use iCloud, and both are online. Initial sync and large photos can take time. Avoid repeatedly deleting and recreating the same record.
